    River Quest: July

    DISCOVER THE RIVERS AROUND YOU AT RIVER QUEST! Learn all about river ecology, local history, and see the river for yourself at this unique event organized by Chieftains Museum and the Rome-Floyd ECO Center. Complete a scavenger hunt between the ECO Center and Chieftains Museum for two free tickets to the Rome Braves game and take a ride on the Roman Holiday! Limited to 80 participants for each day!

  • August 3
    Annual Low Country Boil & Barbeque

    Join us for our annual evening of food and fun at the 2018 Low Country Boil & Barbeque event scheduled for Friday, August 3rd at the Rome Civic Center. Doors open for the event at 7:00pm, which features an open bar and an all-you-can-eat buffet of low country boil and barbeque provided by Two Can Do Catering served at 7:45pm. Attendees will be able to choose from a variety of silent and live auction items. Tickets are $75 each. To purchase tickets or for more information, contact the museum at (706) 291-9494. Credit and debit cards will be accepted in addition to checks and cash.

    Festive Flowers-Decorating for the Holidays

  • November 14 - December 21
    The ICE Experience

    Programs are offered from 9:30-11:30am each day from November 14th-December 21st. An indoor picnic location is provided from 11:30am-12:30pm. The cost is $10 per student. Students will have a chance to ice skate for 30 minutes before rotating through two 45-minute classroom experiences to learn about Cherokee history from Chieftains Museum staff and hibernating animals from the ECO Center staff.

    How to Make Christmas Trees from Tomato Cages

    Workshop presented by Master Gardener Keith Mickler and Nelle Reagan from WRGA at the ECO River Center from 12:00-2:00pm on Saturday, November 17th.
