    Fifth Annual Floyd County Seed Swap

    We are pleased to host the Fifth Annual Floyd County Seed Swap at the museum on Saturday, February 10th. The program will begin with a presentation from 11am-12pm on how to properly save seeds by Dr. Brian Campbell, Director of the Berry College Environmental Studies Program. After the presentation, garden enthusiasts can share or trade seeds, cuttings, bulbs, and plants with other members of the community at the museum until 2:00pm. This event is free and open to the public.

    Arbor Day Conservation Project

    For a Conservation Project, as well as the official City of Rome observance of Arbor Day, civic organizations and clubs will work with the City of Rome’s Urban Forestry Department to install approximately 200+ bare root Sawtooth Oak, Sawtooth Gobbler, and Catalpa seedlings in Floyd County, specifically along Heritage Trail in the mitigation area behind State Mutual Stadium on Friday, February 16 from 11:00am-12:00pm.
