- August 3Annual Low Country Boil & Barbeque
Join us for our annual evening of food and fun at the 2018 Low Country Boil & Barbeque event scheduled for Friday, August 3rd at the Rome Civic Center. Doors open for the event at 7pm, which features an open bar and an all-you-can-eat buffet of low country boil and barbeque provided by Harvest Moon Catering served at 7:45pm. Attendees will be able to choose from a variety of live auction items at the event. In addition, beautifully potted plant centerpieces will be available for sale again this year. A new feature for the event in 2018 is a cash raffle. Members of the community may purchase $20 raffle tickets at the museum or at the event for a chance to win $500 cash. The drawing for a winner will take place the night of the event. You do not have to be present at the event to win the cash raffle.To purchase tickets or for more information, contact the museum at (706) 291-9494. Credit and debit cards will be accepted in addition to checks and cash. Please RSVP no later than July 27th.

- November 14 - December 21The ICE Experience
Programs are offered from 9:30-11:30am each day from November 14th-December 21st. An indoor picnic location is provided from 11:30am-12:30pm. The cost is $10 per student. Students will have a chance to ice skate for 30 minutes before rotating through two 45-minute classroom experiences to learn about Cherokee history from Chieftains Museum staff and hibernating animals from the ECO Center staff.
