Roy Palmer, the museum’s graduate assistant from the University of West Georgia, will hold a lecture on the prehistoric peoples who called this area home in an intro to archaeology and our prehistoric heritage on Saturday, July 8th from 2:00-3:00pm. Real artifacts will be shown. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own artifacts for ID. Questions about the field of archaeology or about Georgia’s rich indigenous heritage are welcomed as well.
